Nice stay at the Shakespeare Hotel
My wife and I had a very comfortable stay at the Shakespeare. Check-in was smooth and Constantinos was very helpful and assigned us a room on the first floor (so not too many stairs) and a balcony, which we had requested if it were possible. The room was small but it was clean, it looked recently painted and decorated, and we had a lovely view of Norfolk Square. Bathroom was also on the small side but it was manageable, and the shower was hot and had good water pressure. Nice, big flat-screen TV and comfortable beds. Even though we faced the street it was quiet at night and sleeping was no problem. We were a little disappointed that the waffle-maker was not working during the two breakfasts we had, because we had read about how guests had complimented the fresh waffles. Location was ideal, just 3 or 4 minute's walk to Paddington rail/underground stations, shops, and pubs. On our last day, Constantinos held our luggage so we could take a short walk to the Little Venice area, which was very scenic. I would stay here again.
